its just a certificate that popsup, but it needs to be handle by pdgin instead of waiting for user input.
So yes the user has to accept it, otherwise pidgin doesnt get back online. just curious but could it be a "feature" of my 2-Wire (brand) modem ?
If you're still having this problem, please let us know exactly what error message you're seeing. it happens when my modem reboots, and pidgin tries to reconnect with the server.
the values are default: com 5190 use encrypt if avail useclientlogin is checked i'll upload a screenshot and paste the link soon as is happens, but its really just the popup with that ext that needs to accept the certificate, nothing much else.
i figured it was the ICQ server sending it and to disconect other ICQ's with my user/pwd at the old ip adr.
i've never heard of that but there's allot of things companies do to bother ppl i guess.
ps: might want to change the thread options from 2stay closed" to reopened and dunno if u can allow attachments, i could upload the screenshot next time isntead of pointing to flickr. The certificate for api.net could not be validated.
